If you believe something in your inventory or check out report is inaccurate, incomplete, or missing, you can use this page to submit your comments for review. This includes written observations, missing details, and supporting photographs relating to specific rooms, items, or sections of the report.

How the amendment process works

You will be offered to add comments and upload photographs for each relevant section of the property. The more precise your notes are, the easier it will be for us to review the information against the original report. Once submitted, your amendment request will be reviewed alongside the original report, photographs, and inspection notes. If the information provided supports a correction or addition, the report will be updated accordingly.

What counts as an amendment

An amendment should explain clearly what you believe is inaccurate, incomplete, or missing. Supporting photographs should be included wherever possible so the information can be reviewed against the original inspection record.

Examples of what counts as an amendment

  • A wall, floor, worktop, or other surface is described as being in good condition, but there is a visible mark, stain, scratch, or damage that was present at the time of inspection and has not been recorded
  • An item was present in the property on the inspection date but has been left out of the inventory
  • An appliance is listed in the report, but an existing fault, defect, or visible issue was not noted
  • A detail has been recorded against the wrong room, item, or section and needs to be corrected
  • A photograph or written comment helps show that the condition of a room, fixture, or item was different from the way it is described in the report
  • Signs of wear, ageing, or pre existing damage were present at the time of inspection and need to be added so the record is more accurate

What does not count as an amendment

  • Furniture, accessories, or other items that were replaced, removed, or added after the tenant moved in
  • Walls or surfaces that were repainted, repaired, decorated, or altered after the start of the tenancy
  • New damage, cleaning issues, maintenance concerns, or changes that arose after the inspection took place
  • General disagreement with the report where no clear factual correction or supporting evidence is provided
  • Comments that are unrelated to the content of the report or do not refer to a specific part of it

Before you submit

  • Please refer to the relevant room or section of the report when adding your comments.
  • Be specific about what you believe should be changed, added, or corrected.
  • Upload clear supporting photographs wherever possible.
